Gothic Horror Makeup
I created a variety of different face charts and makeup inspired by other gothic horror designs which I researched.
I recreated a gothic horror face chart by firstly using my fine line brushes and my red black and white from my supracolour pallet to create the mouth .
Once I had created the mouth and the jawline using the same products I then used my blending brush and my kryolan eye shadow pallet to highlight the cheekbones and the temples the nose and the jawline line, the colours which I used were red, grey , brown and black.
Finally to completed my face chart I used a gothic horror makeup image which to use as a guideline and used my black supracolour and a fine makeup brush to create a gothic pattern around the eyes.
I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my first face cart, I felt I could see an improvement on my line work particularly around the eyes in comparison to makeup from my first semester and I felt the colours I chose worked well together.

I found this image as an inspiration for my gothic horror face chart particularly the style of eye makeup and the pink colour used to highlight the cheekbones.
This was another gothic horror style of makeup which I found inspirational for my first gothic horror style of makeup . I incorporated the application of makeup around the mouth area onto my own gothic horror face chart . I also felt the style of makeup would work well together with the first image I found in order to recreate the eye makeup.

On this face chart I wanted to focus on the style of makeup which is used to emphasise the eyes, in order to create a basic gothic horror look, I used the black from my kryolan pallet and a fine brush. to apply colour to the eyelids. I then used a light brown from my kryolan eye shadow pallet to highlight the cheekbones and a red and black from my supracolour pallet which I mixed together to create a dark red to apply to the lips to complete my face chart.
Once I had created my gothic horror face chart I wasn't very happy with the outcome, I felt overall the style of makeup looked quite plain even though the gothic style of makeup is supposed to be quite plain and pale with dark lips , perhaps the style of makeup could have appeared more complete by applying more colour and more of a design to the eyes, or maybe using colour from kryolan eyeshadow pallet to the eyes rather than supracolour.
I found the eye makeup in this image inspirational and decided to recreate a similar style of makeup onto a face chart in order to convey my understanding of what is gothic horror.

In order to create a gothic horror inspired face chart I firstly used my a white and black from my supracolour pallet to create different shades and tones in order to highlight the mouth area. I then used the black from my supracolour pallet and a fine brush to around the eyes and on the nose to create a skeleton look. In order to complete my design I finally used the white and the light brown from my kryolan eye shadow pallet which I applied using my rounded blending brush to apply more in depth colour to my face chart.
I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my face chart, I felt the style of makeup shows how I have improved on blending colours into the face.

I used this gothic horror makeup image in order to create a skeleton style makeup, I really like how in depth and effective the makeup looks.

On this face chart I wanted to keep the make up simple but add design to the face. In order to bring out the eyes and the cheekbones I used a pink and purple eyeshadow from my kryolan pallet. In order to create the cobweb design situated on the forehead I used a fine brush and he black from my kryolan pallet. and finally to complete my makeup design I applied a deep red which I mixed together using a light red and black from my supracolour pallet to the lips.
I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my design I felt the colours I had chosen demonstrated gothic horror and also worked well together however I found it quite difficult to add fine detail to the face particularly when attempting to create the cobweb design .

I used this gothic horror style makeup as an inspiration to creat a gothic horror style face chart, I like how the eye makeup has been applied and the cobweb design applied to the centre of the forehead

In my own time I decided to recreate my own style of gothic horror makeup with inspiration from self taught makeup artist Elsa Rhae. Firstly I started off by using a fine line brush and my black supracolour to sketch the mouth , teeth and tongue onto the lower half of my face and my neck and the , I then used my white pink and black to apply colour to the mouth. I then used foundation from my pallet to apply colour to the jaw which I had also sketched out using my fine line brush and black supracolour. finally to complete the mouth I applied blood to the teeth and lower part of the jaw. Next I used black supracolour and my fine liner brush to make me features appear more cartoon. Finally I used a grey from my eye shadow pallet and my blending brush to apply more in-depth colour around the mouth.
I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my final design, especially the jaw area. I feel I could have maybe add ore design or colour to the area around the eyes however this could have maybe made the design look a little too over the top.

Here was my inspiration for my gothic horror makeup design ,by Elsa Rhae. I really like the use of colour in her design and how she has made something which can be considered as cartoon look really realistic.
In my own time I decided to create a skeleton style of gothic horror makeup. Firstly I applied a white supracolour to my face to act as a base and then blended the product into my face to look more even using my buffer brush, using a grey frm my eye shadow pallet by kryolan I then applied colour to the convex areas of my face. Using my black supracolour and my fine line brush I them sketched out the cracks applied colour around the eyes and nose and sketched the mouth and teeth Finally to complete my design I applied white supracolour to create the teeth.
I really like the outcome of my final design I feel I have made an improvement on my line work and have blende the colour into the face well. However the only thing I feel I could have improved on was perhaps making the circles around the eyes more even.
In my own time I decided to create a wound using techniques from my technical lesson with sue. Firstly I applied cinewax to the area and made sure any rough edges were blended into the skin. next I used my spatula to create a slit mark down the wax .Then I applied latex overtop of the wax and dried under a cool heat. Once the latex was dry I then used a coloured foundation which matched my skin and applied it to e wound and around the area. Next I applied wound filler using a spatula to the cut . Finally I applied blood to the cut and spread the product using my spatula.
I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my wound I felt the product was blended in well to the skin, there wasnt many rough edges and I feel I have de a big improvement in comparison to my first attempt.
I also carried out the same process as my previous wound but on my leg I felt this attempt went better and looked me realistic .
