Quentin and Mrs Laderman moodboards

Mood Boards

In order to convey my understanding of my chosen TV series and two chosen character ideas and inspirations, I decided to gather several images conveying my ideas a present my information as a mood board.

 

My chosen TV series was the American Horror story season four the freak show, the information I gathered on my mood board is the characters involved in the series, the hair and makeup designs, the logo of the TV series . some of the characters include the use of Femme Fetale, horror and a burlesque element which is what I researched in order to gain several ideas for my two characters, Quentin and Mrs Laderman.

 

I was quite happy with the outcome of my production mood board, I feel it clearly displays images showing my chosen TV series and the character styling in terms of the hair and the makeup. The background colour I have chosen is a bright red to portray horror.

The next mood board I created was Mrs Laderman a forty year old neighbour to Claudia, who likes to play mind games. After researching into my chosen series and creating a mood board, I decided I wanted to character styling to include an element of burlesque and femme Fetale, with the circus element incorporated into my design portraying the freak show.

 

I was quite happy with the outcome of my Mood board I felt it clearly displayed the use of Femme Fetale and burlesque in terms of the characters hair makeup and clothing inspirations. 

I created a mood board presenting my ideas for my second character Quentin, an imaginary boyfriend to Claudia . After researching into the American Horror story season four the freak show, I decide to write an add on story line for the character, I decided Quentin was going to be a human puppet which was part of the freak show and controlled by Mrs Laderman Therefore the images I gathered included the use of horror and special effects along with the circus element incorporated in order to relate to my chosen series. After researching into my chosen series I noticed the TV series was set in the 1950s in Jupiter Florida , therefore I decided to include images of 1950s hair and fashion for my Quentin character idea.

 

I was generally quite happy with the outcome of my Mood board I felt it clearly showed my ideas and inspirations in terms of the hair make up and choice of clothing.
